Transcendental Meditation is a technique of deep relaxation and development of consciousness. It is practiced sitting, eyes closed, 2 times a day in the morning and evening for 15 to 20 minutes per session. Different from any other form of meditation , it is easy to learn, very simple and very pleasant to practice.
It gives the body and mind a unique state of rest: while the mind, while remaining perfectly awake, calms down and experiences a great inner calm, the body reaches a state of deep relaxation . The rest thus acquired dissolves tensions and stresses rooted in physiology, rejuvenates the body, increases creativity and intelligence and prepares for dynamic and effective activity.
Transcendental Meditation is universal and systematic in its approach. It does not require any change in lifestyle, diet, religion or philosophy of life.
The technique can be practiced from the age of 10 years with appropriate meditation time for adolescents aged 10 to 20 years.
Children under 10 learn a technique that is appropriate for their young age.
The Transcendental Meditation technique stems from India’s ancient Vedic tradition brought to light in its original purity and effectiveness by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Nowadays, the technique is taught by qualified teachers.
