Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Indian of Sri Sri Yoga , which allows the body to achieve unity, mind and spirit through the conscious practice of postures, pranayama and meditation. Ravi Shankar has offered the world a new understanding of yoga, which should be practiced with a pure heart and a peaceful state of mind.


Ravi Shankar was born in Bangalore, capital of Karnataka. Get a modern classical education to the age of 17 he learned all the spiritual wisdom of Indian religion and philosophy. In 1982 he founded the international non-profit organization “The Art of Life”, has special consultative status at the Council of the UN Economic and Social Affairs. The organization has accredited representatives at the United Nations offices in New York, Geneva and Vienna. In addition, the “Art of Living” is the official consultant in cooperation with the International Health Organization on the development of international health policy in the twenty-first century. The purpose of the “Art of Life” is the development of human values, the elimination of aggression and conflict around the world. In her courses were attended by more than a million people.


In 1986, Ravi Shankar’s work was marked by the President of India. He also presided at numerous international conferences on health and the relationship between people and received several awards for humanitarian programs.
