Yogasutra The aphorisms of yoga as a form of meditation

Yogasutra is a key to understanding a form of thought that has resulted over time in what we know as yoga text.

In a first approach, Yogasutra a text might seem difficult to understand, but nothing further . This book of the Editorial Kairos , translated and commented by Oscar Pujol becomes one of those fundamental works both to understand that yoga we now know, to also approach the true essence of this mindfulness or mindfulness.

Put more effort into the heart than reason to “understand” what those aphorisms containing the Yogasutra can offer you that.

“The original meaning of the word yoga is action -the yoking or put the ox-yoke”, ie “put the mind under the yoke of the practice of yoga, in order to control and purify it.”

Regarding the author of the translation, introduction and comments Yogasutra, say that Oscar Pujol is a famous doctor of Sanskrit by Banaras Hindu University and has also been director of the Cervantes Institute in New Delhi and Rio de Janeiro.

Yogasutra is an open window to the wisdom that assumes that “yoga is the arrest of mental processes” (aphorism 1.2)
