Time to digest some food


All figures given below are the averaged value of the digesting food in its raw form. digestion time also depends on the individual and the amount of food eaten.


When you drink the water on an empty stomach, it immediately enters the intestine.

Fruit and vegetable juices are digested in 15 – 20 minutes.

Mixed salads (vegetables and fruits) are digested for 20 – 30 minutes.

Watermelon is digested for 20 minutes.

Melons required to digest 30 minutes.

Oranges, grapes and grapefruits are also required to digest a half-hour.

Apples, pears, peaches, cherries, and other semi-sweet fruits are digested in 40 minutes.

On digestion of root crops such as turnips, carrots, parsnips, and beets, it requires at least 50 minutes.
