What are easy ways to learn yoga practically?

How to learn how to perform asanas correctly

1. Find an instructor

The instructor will explain in which muscles or parts of the body the tension should be felt, and what should remain relaxed. Teacher will help to learn the correct breathing and “energy locks”, stimulating the work of internal organs.

The best way to learn something is to see how others do it. So, the lot of DVD’s are there to guide How to do yoga correctly. From this DVD you learn yoga. To buy a DVD click this link.

In the end, you just can always ask him whether you feel right in the asana, whether you need to strain or hurt some muscles and ligaments or your tension is unnecessary.

Of course, not all yoga instructors have the necessary knowledge and skills. Here are some tips on how to find a good instructor.

  • He should rebuild your body, correct every asana, talk about what feelings should arise when properly performed. If your instructor simply shows you the asana without going off your rug, what’s the point of dealing with him? It will be cheaper to download the application.
  • He must answer your questions. If the instructor does not know what kind of sensations should appear during the execution of the asana, he does not understand why you are pulling your waist, although it does not seem to be, and does not know what to tell you, it’s worth thinking about his competence.
  • It should not cause negative emotions. A person can know a lot and be able to, but at the same time remain unpleasant in terms of communication and teaching. Maybe for someone it’s not so important, but, in my opinion, negative emotions will prevent you from concentrating on your body and properly performing asanas. After all, classes should be fun, right?

2. Focus on sensations

If we assume that for the correctness of the asana it is important that it looks exactly the same as in the picture, during the practice for detuning, you can use a mirror. However, many argue that the mirror, on the contrary, harms the practice, because it prevents focusing on the sensations of the body. And this is of decisive importance: the instructor says that you should feel in the asana, but your personal feelings you should track yourself.

When you understand the concept of the right movement, you can do without the instructor, but at the same time orientation to your feelings should be even more significant.

3. Research your condition after training

To understand whether a sport, a specific instructor or a way of training suits me, I always listen to my feelings after classes.

Note whether there is any tension or pain in the body, whether you feel relaxed, warmed up and content. Mark your general state: the decline of forces or, conversely, the inflow of energy?

I believe that if the classes are useful, after the training should be good. If you feel the body is light and fit, feel a surge of strength and vivacity, then the occupation was not in vain.
