We give you a few tips so that you are properly hydrated before, during and after your yoga classes. And also we leave you some interesting recipes.

BEFORE

Do not take anything solid two hours before doing yoga, you will work with abdominal breathing and if you have eaten a lot or have slow digestions, you will not be able to do the exercises correctly or even feel bad.

Before yoga, it is best to drink liquids, either water, coconut water or natural energizing infusions such as green, black, white tea, moisturizers such as rooibos or digestives such as chamomile with anise, pennyroyal, etc.

The goal is to get to class well hydrated , without digestive discomfort and with energy.

DURING

It is advisable to take a bottle of water to the class.

If you do yoga with heat or in humid conditions it is essential that you bring a bottle of water and another natural liquid: you will sweat, lose water and mineral salts, and besides being dehydrated, you can experience a drop in tension.

AFTER

It is normal for you not to be hungry after class, especially if your desire to eat is due to anxiety and stress, you will notice that yoga calms down and prevents pecking and eventually you will notice a connection between your mind and stomach. This makes you want more fresh and healthy foods such as seasonal fruits, vegetables and whole grains, nuts and foods associated with yoga, which can make you a vegetarian with time, vegan or crudivorous, although do not be scared if you like to eat meat, it is not obligatory to eat green!

Try to eat solid foods in a balanced way, mixing the carbohydrates of the vegetable world, fresh or lightly cooked, with the proteins of nuts, legumes such as soy and quinoa, eggs, red meat, poultry, fish and seafood if you are not vegetarian and the most vivid dairy products such as yogurt, kefir and cottage cheese, with the healthiest fats in raw or first extra virgin pressure of oils such as olive, avocado, coconut, without forgetting the fats of nuts without Toast or salt.
